About Kayla Malss

Kayla Malss is a Brisbane-based marketing expert and business owner. She co-owns Allies Management, a full-service marketing agency specialising in scaling service based brands; with clients across hospitality, childcare, construction, real estate, manufacturing and marine industries.
They say variety is the spice of life, and Kayla's career has certainly had that - before owning an agency, Kayla's career included supporting local and global marketing teams across hospitality, entertainment, ecommerce and natural medicine. Having a knack for business and creativity (and the goal of a house deposit to save for), Kayla also started a freelance business providing copywriting and photography for small business owners.
This passion for supporting small business and eagerness to work in a wide range of industries led Kayla to becoming an Account Manager at Allies Management. Shortly after joining the team, she transitioned into a Head of Agency and Director role.
Diving head-first into the world of being an entrepreneur means she has had to learn the ropes the hard way. Long nights, making mistakes, trial & error and connecting with other business owners for support. By partnering up with Glen James on the This is Business podcast, she aims to help other new and experienced business owners navigate this crazy world that is owning a company.
